Mobile Point of Sale

Video transcript

Welcome to the AccuPOS demonstration video for retail establishments.

To log into the P.O.S., use your password, or swipe your employee ID card. These will identify you as the user and only allow certain pre-set functions, restricting sensitive operations like returns or discounts to only those who are authorized to use them.

The AccuPOS main screen, or ‘Invoice Tab’, is always ready to process sales. Items are applied to a transaction using one of several methods: a barcode scan; a scan from a deli scale label; by touchscreen buttons grouped into customizable pages; manual SKU entry; by item description; or by weight from an integrated scale or scanner/scale combination.

On the ‘Invoice’ tab, transactions can quickly be tendered with cash or credit card. For cash payments, simply touch “Take Cash” and enter the payment amount. The customer receipt prints, the change will be displayed and you’re ready for the next transaction.

For credit card payments simply swipe the customer’s card, and select “process” to finalize the transaction.

AccuPOS is the fastest P.O.S. solution in the industry and can be set up on any combination of PC or Android devices. This allows the freedom to process sales from anywhere in the world while maintaining secure, audited control over all cashiers, sales reps and managers.

The receipt window shows all current items in the transaction and allows for easy removal or adjustment of quantity or price. The keys on the right offer access to commonly used functions such as price checks, reprinting a receipt or saving an order in progress so it can be completed later.

The ‘Payments’ tab covers any other payment types your business may accept such as gift cards, checks and EBT.

Tracking customers with AccuPOS is simple and a great way to increase repeat business. Either swipe their membership card, or find them in your customer database and attach them to the transaction. New customers can also be added on the fly.

Attaching customer info to transactions lets you accumulate contact data for marketing campaigns, provide preferred customer pricing, manage balances and credit limits for customers on terms, and boost customer loyalty.

The ‘Shift’ tab covers all shift administration including logging out and resetting cash drawers to a starting balance.

AccuPOS also offers advanced features for nearly every retail environment, including date/time-based sale pricing, quantity-based discounts, serial number tracking, email receipt options and much, much more.

Additionally, sales reports are always available in real time from your included PC management console, or your secure online reports website.

Welcome to the AccuPOS Point of Sale full service restaurant demonstration. To access the point of sale either enter your user password, or swipe your login card.  Depending on the user rights, certain functions may require a manager’s approval.

The top two rows represent your menu pages. Touching a page will make its corresponding menu items available.

For tableside service, let’s begin by identifying the number of guests. This information automatically populates the correct number of seat position numbers allowing you to order food for each specific individual at the table.

Ordering menu items is easy. Navigate to the correct page, then touch the item. It will be placed in the receipt window for review or further editing before it is sent to the kitchen.

Items with preparation options can be set to have their choices pop up when ordered.  If you prefer, choice screens can be accessed manually. Select the correct item choices and note that free text is always available.

Fast transactions, such as to go orders or drinks at the bar, are ready to be paid by cash or credit card at any time.  Simply touch ‘TAKE CASH”… or swipe the customer’s credit card while the transaction is onscreen.

Before sending an order to the kitchen, AccuPOS users have the opportunity to review and edit by highlighting any item in the receipt window. They can then add more choices, change the item’s quantity, price, course in which it will be served, and seat number – assuming the user has permission.

Once the order has been verified as correct, touch “SAVE AND SEND”.  A map of your restaurant will launch, so you can indicate the room and the table where your guests are seated.

The order ticket will now print in your kitchen showing the details of the order, the time, the table number and the name of the server.

To reload a saved order, select “Load Order”. All open tables will be highlighted. Touch one, and the check will reload for adding more items or processing a payment.

The Check tab at the top of the screen launches check management features such as splitting checks, changing the number of guests in a party, changing tables, changing servers, tracking an individual customer’s purchases for loyalty rewards, comps and more.

The Payments tab offers manual credit card entry and gift card management.  Remember you can also swipe a credit or gift card at any time. To add credit card tips, touch the shift tab, then “add tips” and match the transaction number with the signed slip to enter the customer’s gratuity.

At the end of each shift a server report will summarize all shift activity, making sure each server’s checks have been closed, their tips recorded correctly and that they are turning in the correct amount of cash to the house for their sales.

In any food service environment, AccuPOS provides the finest software experience available in the industry today. Call 800-906-5010 to get started with your new AccuPOS Point of Sale system today. Thank you, and we look forward to working with you soon.

The Benefits of Handheld POS Systems for Retailers and Restaurants

Whether you are in a grocery store, at a craft fair, at the mall, or at a restaurant, no one wants to deal with slow point of sale (POS) systems. During busy or hectic times, slow, lagging computers may actually deter sales and frustrate both employees and customers. For the benefit of not only your workforce, but also the customer service experience you provide, portable, hand-held POS systems may be the solution to slower, less effective systems.

Business owners also benefit with these types of systems, as they lend themselves to multitasking and help to complete necessary tasks that are essential for the business to function optimally. With an effective POS system, you can analyze sales data, manage inventory, and authorize sales on the fly.

Moving Towards a Handheld POS System

With the advent of new, versatile technology, many business owners agree that it’s time for a change. Businesses within every industry are adopting a new form of point of sale – handheld. You can purchase POS software that allows for sales to be completed using Android phones and Windows tablets. Now, even when offsite, business owners use custom inventories, and customers can purchase items without having to run off to an ATM.

Handheld POS systems can improve the quality of the workplace, creating faster transactions and better inventory. The revolution is affecting a wide range of small businesses, from yarn salesmen to hamburger stands and everything in between. Fast functionality will lead to better service in restaurants. Offsite use by producers who previously only made cash transactions will lead to more sales and open themselves up to a broader customer base. Restaurants can pick up and go to local events, spreading their name and at the end of the day the results are great data and not an unorganized wad of bills.

AccuPOS Software

With AccuPOS software, customers can buy products and make quick, secure payments with credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, and American Express), checks, gift cards, and EBTs. Customized pages can be created for inventory, or bar codes can be scanned for fast entry. Functions that can prolong transactions on an old system, such as removing an item, adjusting quantities, reprinting a receipt, or saving a transaction in progress can take a few seconds using handheld POS software.

Besides handheld point of sale functions, the software can collect new customer information. In this way, a small business may accumulate contact listings for marketing campaigns; also, this software contains shift information and management functions. Sales reports are also available from secure locations. Installation is fast and training can be summed up within minutes.

Having a handheld POS system, in conjuncture with other AccuPOS products, can lead a business owner to make transactions on a number of combinations of software – be it in-store or on location.
