Wabash Valley Goodwill

  • Goodwill Wabash Valley IN - AccuPOS client success story

In 1902 The Rev. Edgar Helms started the first Goodwill in Boston, Massachusetts. Following his model, Rev. Theodore Grob, Sr. founded the Goodwill Industries in the Wabash Valley in 1927. In 1982, upon Ted, Jr.’s retirement, William Tennis was named director of Wabash Valley Goodwill Industries Inc. located in Terre Haute, IN. As noted on their website “Goodwill is the largest private sector employer of people with disabilities or with special needs in the world, yet its primary purpose is to train and place disabled persons in the economic mainstream.”

Wabash Valley Goodwill and AccuPOS Point of Sale

When asked about working with Wabash Valley Goodwill, Eliza Steel (Director of Client Relations for AccuPOS POS Software) said “Bill Tennis is the kind of partner you want to have.” Fully integrating with their accounting software QuickBooks, they have also taken advantage of both our Gift Card program and Integrated Merchant Services as they are signed with Mercury Payment Systems. When asked about his long time partnership with AccuPOS Mr. Tennis had this to say:

“We began using AccuPOS in July of 2003. Currently we have 7 retail outlets using AccuPOS. Our associates are able to learn how to enter sales very quickly. AccuPOS handles our “Frequent Shopper” customer program and sends all the information to Intuit’s Enterprise Edition accounting software. The capability to use barcodes or to enter items using the touch screen keys makes the product easy to use. It has helped us manage our Goodwill stores at a level not previously possible. Support has been terrific and I would recommend AccuPOS to anyone.”

On behalf of the staff here at AccuPOS we want to congratulate Bill Tennis and the entire team at Wabash Valley Goodwill Industries Inc. for being the AccuPOS Point of Sale Customer of the Month! We are proud to partner with such a wonderful organization and look forward to many more years of working together.
