POS Price Level Times Setup
AccuPOS allows the use of price levels that can be set up in accounting. AccuPOS can be configured to automatically change a different price level based off a time and day of the week.
For example, your bar runs a happy hour from 5pm-7pm and there is a price level set up with the discounted prices. AccuPOS can be set to change to that price level during that time so that prices change accordingly.
Before price level times can take affect, there must be price levels setup inside the accounting software. Once the price levels are setup, price level times can be configured:
- Go to Manage Price Level Times.
- The Price Level Times window appears. AccuPOS allows for five levels of pricing, and gives you control over when they are active. Click the Add New button on the right and set the price level in the Price Level dropdown on the far left.
Then you can set the Start and End Times and days active accordingly. In the below example:
Price Level 1 is active from 12:00 PM to 1:30 AM on Sunday through Wednesday
Price Level 2 is actice from 1:30 AM to 5:00 AM on Tuesday through Thursday
Price Level 3 is active from 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM on Friday and Saturday
- To adjust a Price Level time, click on the miniature clock on either its Start Time or End Time column and the Set Time window appears. The time can be adjusted in 15 minute increments.
- To remove a price level time, simply click its Remove button on the right. The rule will be erased and no longer be in effect.
When the Point of Sale enters a different price level, it will automatically start ringing in items at the new price level prices. Once the price level time has reached the end, the prices will revert back to Price Level 1, the default Price Level.
