Setting Up Discount Buttons

The reader should first be familiar on setting up Items in their accounting software or items directly in AccuPOS If a user is not integrating with Accounting Software. Also see Instructional Video for Key Setup for more information on how to setup Keys or Buttons in AccuPOS Management.

  1. Sales Discount General Type
    This requires creating Item in Accounting and importing the item to AccuPOS or creating the item directly in AccuPOS and linking the AccuPOS key or button to that item.

    This type of Discount will be applied to the “WHOLE” order when the button is selected.

  2. Sales Discount Forward Type
    This involves setting up a POS Button, and does not require any setup in Accounting.

    The Discount will be applied to “ALL” the items that are process after the button is selected.

  3. Discount Type
    This involves setting up a POS Button, and does not require any setup in Accounting.

    This discount will “ONLY” be applied to the item selected after the discount button is selected.


A. Discount General Type Button

  1. Create a “Non Inventory” “Non Taxable” Item in Accounting.

  2. Set the “price” to the discount percentage, displayed using a decimal. Hence, your 15% off Discount item is entered as 0.15

  3. Import items using AccuPOS Management

  4. Open the “AccuPOS main Screen Setup” window by selecting the “Set Up Keys”

  5. Create a new button, then drag the button to Workshop

  6. Assign the “Button Label”

  7. Select “Sales Discount, General” for Type

  8. The Customer Discount screen will show up

  9. Select the discount item, and then click OK.

  10. Save & Close

Note: This discount button can be selected anytime during the sale and will be applied to the entire order


 

B. Sales Discount Forward Type Button

  1. Create a new button, then drag the button to Workshop
  2. Asign the “Button Label”
  3. Select “Sales Discount, Forward” for Type
  4. Assign the discount amount ( Ex. 20% is entered as 20 )
  5. Save & Close

C. Discount Type button

  1. Create a new button, then drag the button to Workshop

  2. Assign the “Button Label”

  3. Select “Discount” for Type

  4. Assign the discount amount ( Ex. 50% is entered as 50 )

  5. Save & Close
